MACMILLAN COFFEE MORNING…….HOW MUCH??????

When Polegrove do baking, the domestic goddesses can not be beaten!!

A huge congratulations to everyone involve but in particular Denise Hodd, Margaret Adcock and Nicki Dale for their outstanding contribution in helping to raise the huge sum of £1038 for the Macmillan charity.

Once word was out that our fab bakers were cooking, people came from far and wide with plastic bags and tuppaware in hand and paid generously for this worthwhile cause.  We were spoilt for choice with both savoury and sweet selections available.  Denise asked me to thank everyone who helped in the cafe, donated their hard earned cash and baked superbly for the cause.

The Polegrove also had a little “ladies v Gentlemen” friendly with a spider to add to the coffers.  This was great fun and arguments are still continuing as to who won…….it was the ladies of course!  But actually Macmillan was the real winner and we hope the great work they do is made a little easier with our brilliant donation.
