Today we welcomed 6 veterans of the Parachute regiment to bowl at Polegrove. They all enjoyed themselves immensely and were very competitive. A great morning was had by all and the Gentlemen generously donated us £50, for which we are extremely grateful.
16 teams were drawn together and took part in triples day today There were some very close games – and some not quite so close games! Mike Cross has successfully completed his umpire training and is now a registered Regional Umpire for the English Bowls Umpire’s Association. Another good achievement for a Polegrove member. We now have two registered umpires available for any county matches requiring them.
