UPDATED 28/8 – Champion of Champions

Remember our 2025 club champions? They qualify to enter both county and national Champion of Champions competitions the following year. They have done exceedingly well.

John – won the County area final and now plays Alex Paine of Buxted Park at Worthing Pavilion on 16th August. UPDATE – John beat Alex, and then also beat Antony Bull of Southbourne in the final at Horsham on 22nd and therefore is the Sussex County Bowls Champion of Champions Champion! CONGRATULATIONS (25/8 Photos below)

John – lost to Michael Stone (who went on to win the Area Final) in the Nationals (but gained his revenge in an earlier round of the County competition)

Rachel – won the County area final but lost to Adel Wakefield of Rottingdean in the semi finals

Rachel – has got through to the last 8 of the Nationals and now plays Sophie Tolchard at Leamington on 28th August

Rachel is also in the round of 16 of the National Over 60′ Singles playing at Leamington on 12th August. UPDATE – Rachel had a narrow loss.

28/8 update from Rosamund – Rachel played a great game this morning in the quarter finals, but unfortunately lost to Sophie Tolchard. Still it was a great achievement to get to this stage of the competition and we are very proud of her.
