What a superb sunny day we had which set up a fabulous atmosphere for all the first time “bowlers” we had giving it a go on Saturday. We would firstly like to thank all the volunteers, without them, the day would not have been a success, you all know who you are!. Special mentions must…

Having had a wonderful run in the Unbadged singles Chris lost to Nigel Froud in the final today. What a fantastic season Chris has had.
Mike Cross has successfully completed his umpire training and is now a registered Regional Umpire for the English Bowls Umpire’s Association. Another good achievement for a Polegrove member. We now have two registered umpires available for any county matches requiring them.
Well, what a weekend of success Polegrove have had once again at the County Finals. Sadly we were drawn against each other in the Triples semi final….the ‘Young Gun’s’ ultimately victorious but a super game to watch.
