RIP Julian Wood

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have to announce the passing of Julian Wood on Friday 30th October.

Julian was a larger than life character, who gave so much to our Club.

Julian was a pleasure to have around. A cheerful, happy person, always singing, with a wicked sense of humour.

I was lucky to have played mixed pairs and mixed fours with him this season, he was such a talented bowler.

A hard working, valued committee member, Julian took on the job of green ranger, making sure that the greens were kept in a decent state for playing and set up our future action plan. He also took on the job of selecting teams for National and County competitions. Alongside Rosamund they both gained their coaching badges, helping new bowlers who joined our Club.

He will be sadly missed by myself and Ray.

Our thoughts are with Rosamund and her family at this sad time.
